Page Design Criteria
The pages are designed for use by Netscape or Microsoft Explorer browsers , but are also tested on other platforms, including Opera and Mosaic.
Because they are primarily intended as reference aids for busy people -- many of whom access the WWW via sometimes s-l-o-w dialup connections, as much as possible, we've tried to follow these guidelines:
- pages should be designed to display on a 14" monitor at 800 x 600 resolution
- pages should be no more than two or three 14" screens long
- each page should be no more than about 15K in size so that they download quickly
- graphics should be used sparingly and kept to a small size
- special effects should be kept to a minimum. Except on one "experimental" {;-) page
These pages are designed and maintained using the HotDog ProWeb Editor.
