Good Things to Know

1. Each page or section is arranged with links to the most broadly-based sites first, with more focused and specific sites following.
2. The emphasis is on Canadian sources wherever possible.
3. In ranking sites, there is also a bias towards sites in Ottawa, the rest of the National Capital Region and the area of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec in which it resides. (This reflects the original purpose of the site.)
4. This bias also is reflected in choosing mirrors of large sites which are duplicated in several geographic locations.
5. The pages are designed to load quickly and display well on a wide variety of browsers.
6. There are links to an excellent set of search tools at the top and bottom of each page.
7. The pages are updated regularly by the Webmaster.
