    THIS IS FOR YOU:

Whether you are a freelance journalist or aspiring broadcaster, you have stories you want to tell. And broadcasters want to hear them. As the media industries converge, being able to operate in different mediums is a necessity. In this half-day seminar, find out how you can turn your story ideas into documentaries, specials or series for television, radio and film. Broadcast experience is not required.

    WORKSHOP LEADER:

Donna Leon is an award-winning producer, director and writer. Her work includes more than a dozen television documentaries for such broadcasters as TSN, WTN, Discovery Channel, WTSN and CTV. She has also produced and directed television drama, children’s programming and TV specials. Her most recent project, Reluctant Hero: The Donald Marshall Story (CBC’s Life & Times), has been nominated for two Geminis. Donna is currently in production on a six-part documentary series for WTSN and Knowledge Network, a kids’ arts series for TVO and a one-off documentary for Global Television. Donna is President of Genuine Pictures Inc. and i.e. (Integrated Entertainment), production and post-production companies.
