How Material Was Chosen For This Website

The compiling of material for this series of pages was based upon several premises.

They included:

  • that the main users would be Canadian journalists and broadcasters

  • that most of the users would be relatively new to the Internet and the World Wide Web.

  • as much as possible, where there is a choice, sites should be selected based on their closeness to Ottawa, Canada.

  • the pages should be designed for easy access by those with low-speed connections to the Internet
    • Undoubtedly, a certain amount of serendipity, whimsy and personal bias has crept into the selection process as well.
